In this seminar, Ricardo will talk about the process of developing and building a new module called ‘Decolonising Mental Health Research’.

The module is based on a radical approach of inclusive education and will hopefully be a first step in giving the power within learning and assessment at university back to students and marginalised groups. He will also cover some of the challenges faced in delivering this module and the opportunities it presents.

This online event will be particularly useful for those interested in decolonisation, equity, social justice, diversity, inclusion, co-production and under-represented voices.

Epistemic Justice seminar series

This series aims to help attendees challenge the existing power imbalances in knowledge production and sharing, by reflecting on our curricula, teaching practice, and research.  An exciting line-up of invited speakers will share their work on promoting decolonisation, equity, social justice, diversity and inclusion in academia.
