Social pedagogy as a catalyst for change
Join this event to hear the speakers present research, reflections and ideas from a soon-to-be-published issue of the International Journal of Social Pedagogy, inspired by reading bell hooks.
This conference will explore how bell hooks’ writings on education relate to social pedagogy, particularly around her thinking on transgression.
The speakers will look at how recent global and local events indicate rising inequality and polarisation. They will draw on bell hooks and her nuanced, feminist, anti-racist approach.
