The first half of the talk will feature findings from Travis' research brief "Ethnoracially Diverse Teachers in Europe" in the Handbook of Research on Teachers of Color and Indigenous Teachers.
The second half of the talk will explore findings from Tolani's co-publication on the impact of student-teacher ethnoracial matching and exclusionary discipline.
This event will be particularly useful for those interested in ITE and ethnoracial diversity.

About the Speakers
Dr Travis J. Bristol
Associate Professor at University of California, Berkeley’s School of Education
His research focuses on the role of educational policies in shaping teacher workplace experiences and retention; district and school-based professional learning communities; the role of race and gender in educational settings.
Dr Tolani A. Britton
Assistant Professor at University of California, Berkeley’s School of Education
Her research explores the impact of policies on students’ transition from secondary school to higher education, as well as access and retention in higher education.
