Important information
Please note this event is hybrid and can be joined either in-person or virtually.
There is an urgent need to rethink the digitalisation of education in light of impending climate breakdown and eco-compromised futures!
This presentation will consider how current forms of EdTech are neither environmentally nor socially sustainable in the medium to long term. It will then go through a number of different ways in which new approaches toward EdTech might be developed that make dramatically reduced planetary demands, while also genuinely advantaging the disadvantaged.
In this event, Neil Selwyn will set out to convince you that something different has to be done in the world of EdTech... and ask the pressing question about how radical we are prepared to be!
This event will be particularly useful for those interested in climate crisis, education technology and digital sociology.
