In this webinar, Dinara Sultan (PhD student, UCL Institute of Education) will present on higher education governance reform in Kazakhstan and the translation of best practices to local universities.

This event offers an opportunity for PhD and EdD students in the field of higher education studies to present their research.
The webinar is open to all and will be of particular interest to doctoral students, research associates and faculty members within the Department of Education, Practice and Society, UCL Institute of Education.

Higher education governance reform in Kazakhstan: translation of best practices to local universities
This study examines the series of reforms in higher education governance in Kazakhstan and its influences on faculty participation in institutional decision-making. The preliminary results of the pilot study show some challenges facing the universities in implementing best practices of university governance and positive developments resulting from it.

Her research interest is higher education reform and development.
