Professor Gu's keynote will include discussions of her many government and research council funded projects in the areas of teacher professional development, school leadership and improvement, and systemic reform and change. 

She has led the evaluations of Teaching Schools (funded by the DfE) and Research Schools (funded by the EEF) and is currently leading an ESRC funded project: Schools as Enabling Spaces to Improve Learning and Health-Related Quality of Life for Primary School Children in Rural Communities in South Africa

The Educating Teachers Matters seminar series is co-organised by the Centre for Teachers and Teaching Research (CTTR) and DLL at the UCL Institute of Education. It explores core issues in innovating teacher education for higher education institutions and their provider partners.

Professor Qing Gu

Professor of Leadership in Education and Director of the UCL Centre for Educational Leadership at UCL Institute of Education

Qing is Co-Editor of 'Teachers and Teaching: Theory and Practice'. Her books have been translated into Chinese, Japanese and Spanish.
