VIRTUAL EVENT: On Paulo Freire: a philosophical biography
In this webinar, Professor Walter Oman Kohan (State University of Rio de Janeiro) will explore his book ‘Paulo Freire a philosophical biography’ (2021, Bloomsbury).

For more information and to register for the event, please contact Alison Brady.
In his book, Walter has tried to re-invent Paulo Freire’s statement that education is political through five concepts:
- life
- equality
- love
- errantry
- and childhood.
After a brief presentation of the outlines of each chapter the seminar will focus on one of these themes.
This event will be particularly useful for those interested in: Paulo Freire, philosophy, philosophy of education, political philosophy, and critical pedagogy.
