VIRTUAL EVENT: What difference does it make who philosophises and where they do it?
In this talk, Grace Lockrobin defends the value of public philosophy, drawing from work with art audiences.

For more information and to register for the event, please contact Alison Brady.
In this session, Grace will explore whether it makes a difference who philosophises and where they do it.
She will summarise two chapters from a recently published book that she co-edited with Amanda Fulford called ‘Philosophy and Community: Theories Practices and Possibilities’.
She will discuss the idea that when philosophy resides in the same places, practised by the same people, it shapes its very nature, forming around the needs, desires, experiences, interests and abilities of the few to the exclusion of the many.
