The long term and far reaching effects of the pandemic are only just starting to unfold as schools start to return.

We would argue we need new approaches to address some of the inequalities appearing. The International Society for Education Through Art and the Education Research Council would like to bring art teachers together to ensure that they can play a leading and pivotal role in pushing for change.

This is a moment where we must come together to ensure that art teachers are supported in dealing with change, and offer approaches to challenge established ways of working, thinking and being in schools.
