In this seminar findings from the More Than Knowledge Transfer project, which looked at the wider benefits of postgraduate taught programmes for international development, will be discussed.
This exploratory project was concerned with understanding the personal and professional trajectories of alumni from education and international development MA programmes at the UCL Institute of Education (IOE), and the extent to which they were able to draw on their experiences to support the well-being of others.
Through an online survey, and in-depth qualitative interviews, the project explored how and whether values, understandings and practices shaped through the education and international development MA programmes are enacted in former students' personal and professional contexts in ways that contribute to the well-being of others, particularly those from marginalised and excluded communities.
During the event there will also be an opportunity to meet with alumni and hear about their experiences since completing an MA programme.
The event is open to all former and current students, staff, and the wider public. Refreshments will be provided, and the seminar will be followed by a drinks reception.
