This seminar will bring together practitioners and researchers from across the sector to identify key priorities for students in care and how to progress these in the future.
Many young people in care are in further education but there is little policy support or research evidence about their experience. The seminar will feature:
- A talk from Paul Grainger, Co-Director for the Centre of Post-14 Education and Work, UCL Institute of Education: providing an overview of the current post-16 landscape
- A presentation from "Believe in Young People: a charity which prepares and places young people into the world of work"
- Group activities for participants to identify future priorities.
Free seminar.
Open to Education professionals with an interest in young people in further education.
