Dr Karen Schucan Bird (IOE) spoke at the Employers' Initiative on Domestic Abuse (EIDA) conference on 16 October to share her research on the importance of education on domestic abuse to equip informal supporters – family, friends and colleagues – to better support victims.

This year’s theme of ‘Reclaiming Narratives’ invites reflection of the wide variety of Black experiences in our academic spaces and in the wider world we engage in through our research, teaching, and enterprise.
