AIED@UCL Special Interest Group
The AIED@UCL Special Interest Group (SIG) is a UCL-wide hub that brings together interdisciplinary expertise to advance the field of Artificial Intelligence in Education.
By fostering collaboration across UCL and with external partners, the Group focuses on responsible innovation with the ambition to shape the future of education on a global scale.
Pillars
The work is organised around three strategic pillars:
- Building AI Systems for Education.
- Educating People About AI.
- Education Futures for AI.
Each pillar spans research, teaching, policy, and strategic partnerships, creating space for specialised work while encouraging collaboration and cross-pollination across disciplines.
At the heart of this structure is a bold ambition: to bring together colleagues’ diverse expertise, insights, and capacity – not just to advance AIED individually, but to create a whole far greater than the sum of its parts.
We welcome colleagues from across UCL and beyond who are interested in contributing to this growing initiative.
Scoping survey
The AIED@UCL Special Interest Group (SIG) is running a survey to help the mapping of current activity and interests in AIED. Please help shape the SIG’s agenda and future initiatives if you are engaged in research in this area, teaching or policy by filling in our Scoping Survey.
