Intimacies, relationships and identities

We engage in research about experiences of love and intimacy within diverse family and relationship forms.

Our studies on these topics range from:

understandings and experiences of love, marriage and intimacy among Gujarati Indians
research on how the care of children affects the parental couple's 'intimate' relationship
exploration of the impact of stress related to discrimination on the health of same-sex couples.

Methods

We employ novel qualitative, quantitative, and mixed methods designs including dyadic longitudinal surveys, ethnography and interviews.
