About us
We study states, markets and financial institutions as world-making infrastructures, and explore how economic mechanisms can be reimagined for democratic resilience, social equity, and planetary sustainability.
Areas of work
- Exploring finance as a political technology; How states and markets measure and understand ‘risks’ associated with the poly-crisis
- Exploring ways in which power is exercised and contested including elite power, social movements, riots, policing, and prisons
- Exploring transnational entrepreneurs and businesses working towards civic end-goals
- Other areas of work may include crime and punishment, political parties, public opinion and the state, populist Euroscepticism, institutional power
