About us
RISE is a research group based in the Department of Psychology and Human Development at the UCL Institute of Education.
Our research sits at the intersection of developmental, social, and educational psychology and brings together researchers working on topics such as:
- peer relations
- teacher-pupil interactions
- emotion regulation
- social and emotional learning
- mental health and well-being
- bullying and bystander intervention
- prosocial behaviour
- class size
- the role of teaching assistants in the classroom
- group processes
- play
- school breaktimes and lunchtimes.
