The Department of Culture, Communication and Media (CCM) covers the following areas:
- Communication and media studies
- Applied linguistics
- Second and foreign language teaching and learning

- English education

- Art, design, and museology
- Living and learning with technology.
Research
We develop research at the intersections of communication, culture, media, technology, and education.
Consultancy
We work directly with organisations and local authorities or international institutions.
Our people
The vast majority of our staff have been practising school teachers at some point in their careers. Some of our members are current teachers in schools as well as academic researchers in the department.
