Re-imagining engineering education and how we attract and nurture engineering talent.
Co-Directors: Professor David Guile and Professor John Mitchell
The Centre for Engineering Education (CEE) brings together UCL's Institute of Education with its Faculty of Engineering Sciences. We are passionate about Engineering and Education. We believe that there's a need for a new conversation about how we attract and nurture engineering talent. It's a big challenge which will require partnerships between educators, professional bodies and industry.
Re-imagining Engineering Education
Engineering covers an incredibly broad - and expanding - range of activities; it is vital to tap into and develop a broad range of talent. We are therefore interested in not only supporting developments in primary and secondary education and but also how to create a better articulation between the vocational (Further Education; apprenticeships) and Higher Education routes into engineering, as well as working with companies to address their changing skill needs.
