Collaborations
Through our outstanding relations with organisations and institutions working in the field of Holocaust education, we collaborate on a range of projects, provide expert advice and help to shape the discourse and agenda of teaching and learning about the Holocaust.
In the UK these include:
- Imperial War Museums
- The Wiener Holocaust Library
- The Association of Jewish Refugees
- The National Holocaust Centre and Museum
- Holocaust Centre North
- The Holocaust Research Institute at Royal Holloway
- Holocaust Education Trust
- Holocaust Memorial Day Trust
- UK Holocaust Memorial Foundation.
Internationally we have excellent relations with the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum, Yad Vashem and several major transnational associations.
IHRA
The Centre has played an active role supporting the UK Delegation to the International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance since our foundation. Several members of Centre staff have played important roles on key IHRA committees and working groups.
UNESCO and OSCE
We have a long-standing history of working with UNESCO and the OSCE on a range of high-profile, high-impact, transnational projects. This includes the development of Addressing Antisemitism in Schools: Training Curricula (2020) for teacher trainers.
MATs
We are proud to have working partnerships with several of the leading Multi-Academy Trusts (MATs) in England, including: Outwood Grange Academy Trust, Star Academies, Harris Federation, Astrea Academy Trust and United Learning. Through these partnerships we are able to deliver high-quality CPD to teachers in hundreds of schools across the country.
The Holocaust, Their Family, Me & Us
A project for schools in the UK, based on the documentary series, “My Family, the Holocaust and Me”. Conceived and developed as an immersive enrichment project by UCL’s Nic Wetherall, it encourages students to explore the impact of the Holocaust on four families, including the family of Rob Rinder and his mother, Angela Cohen.
