School and College Partnerships

Our partnerships with nurseries, schools, colleges and other education providers lie at the heart of our success.

School and College Partnerships

The IOE is home to the greatest concentration of expertise and specialism within education anywhere in the world

Teacher education at the IOE involves a network of national and international collaborative partnerships spanning pre-teacher training programmes, Ofsted 'Outstanding' teacher training from Early Years to Post-Compulsory, CPD and professional development, school improvement, research, consultancy and innovation and masters and doctoral study.

If you are interested in working with us, please email us at ioe.businessdevelopment@ucl.ac.uk.

Our partnerships include PGCE, SCITTs, School Direct and Teach First. The information below will help you to explore the many ways we work with nurseries, schools, colleges and other education providers.

Early Years

Working with nurseries and other Early Years settings, we provide an Early Years Initial Teacher Training (EYITT) route which prepares people to work with babies and very young children. Our partnerships bring together expertise across the IOE and learning settings to provide an excellent learning experience for our participants.

With various Core PGCE, School Direct and SCITT routes designed to prepare people to teach across the primary age range, we already work with over 350 primary schools. Our partnerships bring together knowledge and expertise in primary education to support our outstanding teacher training provision.

Covering 19 school subjects on core PGCE, School Direct and SCITT training pathways, we work with over 250 schools within and beyond London. The majority of our partnership schools have worked with us for many years and have demonstrated a strong commitment to Initial Teacher Education. The strength of our partnerships comes from sharing and building on expertise across both the IOE and schools to provide outstanding teacher training provision.

Post Compulsory

IOE has a variety of routes leading to a PGCE designed to prepare people to work in post compulsory education settings. We work with over 50 partnership organisations in London, ranging from school sixth forms and FE colleges, to specialist institutions and prisons. This diversity of partnership brings expert knowledge to provide outstanding teacher training provision.

Our consultancy services include and sometimes combine research, strategy and bespoke training, and are tailored to help you achieve your objectives.

Bespoke CPD

We work with schools, colleges, nurseries and other organisations across the world to develop bespoke CPD training programmes to meet their specific needs, including international PGCE programmes. Contact us at ioe.businessdevelopment@ucl.ac.uk to find out how we can help you.
