Reducing Contrast and Radiation using Artificial Intelligence in Endovascular Surgery

The project will develop algorithms to enhance the visibility of anatomical and device structures in fluoroscopy during endovascular surgery. We will develop image analysis techniques driven by machine learning and artificial intelligence techniques to highlight vessels and bifurcations without extensive use of image contrast agents. 

We will also propagate information in time in order to reduce the radiation exposure to the entire team. The potential impact is to reduce the adverse effects of procedures within an interventional suite both for the patient and the entire team.
