Science of Surgery is our annual community celebration event, where we open our doors and invite members of the public in to meet WEISS researchers and learn about the amazing projects they are working on.

You are warmly invited to come and join in the fun (and learning) at the Wellcome / EPSRC Centre For Interventional and Surgical Sciences (WEISS). The event takes place during the Easter school holidays on Monday 3rd April and runs from 11am until 4pm.
 

At the event you can try tabletop demonstrations and go on behind the scenes tours of our labs at Charles Bell House, London. Come and see live demonstrations of cutting-edge equipment, control a real surgical robot, experience the challenges of key-hole surgery, and talk to our researchers shaping the future of healthcare.

The event is free and there is no need to book for Science of Surgery. However, please note that separate tours of the ground floor laboratories are offered on a first-come-first-served basis on the day. These separate tours are booked when you arrive and due to the size of the labs, are limited in terms of group size.

The nearest underground station is Goodge Street, but Tottenham Court Road and Oxford Circus are also close by.
