Promoting Sexual Health and Wellbeing: the vital role of the midwife
Recent ISOSS reports highlight the need to raise awareness and promote sexual health in pregnancy by using the 'Negative Now' message when giving screening results. Antenatal screening teams may want to use this poster produced by the IDPS programme, in clinical settings for information sharing among colleagues to raise the profile of sexual health in pregnancy, particularly the important role midwives have in discussion about sexual health at booking and when giving negative screening results.
