Natalia is the SAVA Research Assistant.
Natalia Pavlovicova is a graduate of the UCL’s School of Slavonic and East European Studies, currently doing her MFA in Fine Art Media at the Slade School of Art.
Her art practice centres around the experience of migration and settling in, belonging, protection and care. Apart from her focus on the visual arts, Natalia maintains a strong interest in the East European region.
During her year abroad in Prague (Czech Republic), she worked at the artist-run space Světova 1, the magazine Flash Art Czech & Slovak Edition and the online contemporary art platform Artyčok.cz.
After coming back to London, she has maintained her interest in the region’s developments as well as the local contemporary art scene. The Socialist Anthropocene in the Visual Arts (SAVA) research project, where Natalia now works as a Research Assistant, brings together these interests and allows her to further explore them in an interdisciplinary context.
