Applications open for a Convenor for ARIEL, UCL’s Centre for Creative Practice Research
28 October 2024
Internal UCL applicants only please. Apply by 11th November 2024.

The IAS is seeking to appoint a Convenor or two Co-Convenors to take forward the work of ARIEL: UCL’s Centre for Creative Practice Research. This is an exciting opportunity to develop a new and dynamic research centre, which is a collaboration between the IAS and SCCI (the School of Creative and Cultural Industries) and works both at UCL Bloomsbury and UCL East.
The goals are 1) to harvest/showcase existing work across UCL; 2) to promote innovative research, especially into the theory and methods of practice research; 3) to develop toolkits to support practice research; 4) to build collaborations with the creative and cultural industries, including through development of consultancy work.
The appointment is for two years in the first instance, renewable for a further two years by mutual agreement. We would like the Convenor(s) to start as soon as possible, at the latest from January 2025.
Please send a short statement of your reasons for applying and what you can bring to the role (one page maximum) to Lucy Stagg, lucy.stagg@ucl.ac.uk, by Monday 11 November.
