Current projects

  • CHAMPIONS - UCL and De Montfort University Leicester, led by Prof. Monica Lakhanpaul (UCL). CHAMPIONS is working with Sound Voice to bring the lived experiences of families and children living in temporary accommodation due to homelessness, and the professionals that support them, to a wider audience.
  • MusAI, (Music and Artificial Intelligence: Building Critical Interdisciplinary Studies) is a five-year research program, funded by the ERC and led by Professor Georgina Born (UCL Anthropology), with links to the Max Planck Institute for Empirical Aesthetics, Frankfurt, and Mila, Montreal. It investigates the cultural implications of AI through a group of critical interdisciplinary studies examining AI’s relationship with music.
  • PEARL (Person Environment Activity Research Laboratory) a unique facility to explore the ways in which people interact with their environment.
  • The Active Citizens Sound Archive, a multilingual archive of solidarities and collaborations, of diversities and possibilities.
