In this talk, Elisa Leroy will examine Ostermeier's staging of Shakespeare's Richard III, which is still being performed eleven years after its premiere, as a case study for thinking about translation, transposition, and performance traditions across time.

Elisa Leroy is a Shakespeare scholar and dramaturg who worked for several years alongside the German stage director, Thomas Ostermeier.
