About the Speakers

Claire Sunho Lee

Jacob Fabrikant Creative Fellow at UCL Health Humanities Centre

Claire Sunho Lee is an interdisciplinary artist and researcher based in London and Seoul. Lee’s practice engages with seeing various meanings within one “reality” by questioning acceptable norms. During the fellowship, Claire will further develop Tell Me What I'm Remembering - a multidisciplinary project that explores the fragility and fluidity of memory through the lens of a hidden childhood illness.

Daisy James

Jacob Fabrikant Creative Fellow at UCL Health Humanities Centre

Daisy James is an artist and researcher whose practice-led, interdisciplinary, and participatory work explores care—how we care for ourselves, for each other, and for the environments we move through. During the fellowship, Daisy will explore how sensory-based methods can deepen our understanding of care, distress, and inclusion in health and social settings. She will work with visually impaired communities to investigate olfaction and the experience of place and belonging, challenging the dominance of sight in public environments. This research will consider how sensory perception influences emotional and psychological well-being, particularly in unfamiliar or stressful situations.
