20 years on, this tale of gun crime in Hackney is still relevant and compelling.

Please note that Saul Dibb and Ruth Caleb will no longer be participating in the panel for this event. We apologise for any inconvenience caused.

Marking 20 years since its UK theatrical release, join us for this special screening of Saul Dibb’s feature debut. It’s a landmark film that explores the impact of gun crime upon a Black family in Hackney and features a breakout performance by Ashley Walters. The screening will be followed by a discussion led by Dr Clive Chijioke Nwonka.

Organised by the British Film Institute
