A Peruvian anthropologist interested in urban, organisational and educational research, Joel Acuna graduated from his MA in Education from IOE (UCL) in 2023, and he is currently the Director of the Fondo Editorial at the Universidad César Vallejo in Trujillo and Lima, as well as director of the Cátedra Vallejo Project which focusses on the curation and impact-enhancement of the life and work of César Vallejo.
Joel will be joined (online) by Valentino Gianuzzi (University of Manchester).
Valentino Gianuzzi completed a PhD on the journalism of César Vallejo at UCL in 2013 and is now lecturer in Latin American Cultural Studies at the University of Manchester. He is the co-author of La Bohemia de Trujillo: 100 años después (2020) and co-editor of César Vallejo: correspondencia, 2 vols. (2023), a joint project between Tamesis and the Fondo Editorial of Universidad César Vallejo.
This event will be followed by an 'Open House' for the Centre of César Vallejo Studies, featuring a small exhibition of recent publications of and on César Vallejo’s work (Refreshments: tea, coffee and biscuits), 11:15am-12:45 pm: Room 305, Centre of César Vallejo Studies, Foster Court, UCL.
