Whether you are submitting an article to a journal, a book proposal/manuscript, or a grant application, you will receive comments from peer reviewers. In many cases these will be constructive and helpful. Even so, it is not always easy to judge how far to follow the reviewer’s suggestions, especially if they entail a lot of work. And if you get a negative review, what is the best way to respond? In the case of grant applications that have received mixed reviews, the lead applicant is often invited to submit a response — how do you set about drafting a good one?
This workshop will explore these questions and offer targeted advice. You are welcome to bring along examples of reviews that you have found hard to interpret, or difficult to accept. Or just come along and bring your questions and thoughts to the discussion.
