A year after our official launch, the Centre for French and Francophone Research at UCL’s Institute of Advanced Studies would like to invite you to an informal gathering to celebrate our accomplishments and discuss plans for the future. Coinciding with the annual release of Beaujolais nouveau, the event will also be the occasion to think about what it means to create a community around shared, and eclectic, tastes.

Please register to attend: https://www.ucl.ac.uk/event-ticketing/app/ev/24135. We request a minimum donation of £10 (£5 for students) to help with the purchase of refreshments. Any profits will go towards the Centre’s lecture and event fund, to sponsor further endeavours at the Centre for this year.

The Centre for French and Francophone Research provides a showcase for the diversity of French and Francophone studies in a global context across several disciplines at UCL, including literary studies, history, philosophy, art history, anthropology, global health, and the physical sciences. The goal is to create a space for researchers and students from across the university broadly interested in the French-speaking world to share their work and to promote interdisciplinary collaboration.
