In an effort to deepen the sense of intellectual community among reseachers working on the Middle East across UCL, please join us on Thursday 4 May from 12-2pm for an in-person gathering.
We will meet at the Institute for Advanced Studies Forum (G17, ground floor, South Wing) for face to face introductions, to share updates on ongoing research and teaching, discuss ideas for future events at the Centre, and consider possible collaborations within MERC and the wider university.
Please feel free to bring your own lunch; the IAS will provide some drinks and snacks. Please RSVP to lucy.stagg@ucl.ac.uk if you are able to join.
The Middle East Research Centre (MERC) provides a focal point for in-depth research on the Middle East and North Africa at UCL. It promotes research and teaching related to the region and its intersection with the wider world, from antiquity to the present. The Centre brings together experts across several disciplines and departments, and serves as a vital hub for researchers, postgraduate and undergraduate students with an interest in the Middle East and North Africa.
