Led by Thomas Rath and Francesca Edgerton (UCL History), the Latin America in the World reading group gathers monthly to discuss recent books which consider modern Latin America from a transnational perspective, and the impact Latin America had on the world and the institutions that govern it.

We are open to all who wish to deepen their understanding of how Latin America was instrumental in shaping global history.

In the next meeting we will be discussing Juan Pablo Scarfi and Lisa Ubelaker Andrade, "Peripheral Interventions in Global History: Towards a History of Argentina Outside of Argentina", Latin American Research Review, 2022:

All welcome- there will be refreshments! Please feel free to share this information with others who may be interested, and we look forward to seeing you soon.
