Rooms

The IAS has one room available to book between now and July 2026, the IAS Common Ground.

Please note

The IAS Forum is no longer available to book, and the IAS Common Ground is only bookable through us until 31st July 2026.

Our event room, the IAS Common Ground, can be found on the South Wing, on UCL's main Bloomsbury campus.

The Common Ground cannot be booked through CMIS-Go. If you are interested in using the Common Ground please email instituteofadvancedstudies@ucl.ac.uk, confirming the following:

Name of organiser(s) and contact details:
Name of any external speakers:
Do you want the event to be advertised on our website and in our newsletter? Please provide us with an image (800x500px) and a short description if so. If you plan to use Eventbrite (or another booking system) please forward us the link to include on the event page.

Priority will be given to bookings for research-related events.

We only manage our own events (and those of the IAS Research Centres). Therefore, if you require an Eventbrite, a Zoom/Teams link, catering or IT support you, or your department, will need to organise this.

There is no charge for the room and we also promote the event for free. However, any other costs, such as catering, travel or speaker fees, would have to be covered by yourself or your department.
