Finding the IAS

Institute of Advanced Studies (IAS), South Wing, Wilkins Building

Access from Gower St closed until mid-February 2026

Access to the South Wing is not currently permissible via Gower St. Please enter the UCL campus via the entrances on Gordon Square or Torrington Place.

Directions

The two entry points are marked with a red wheelchair on the map opposite. The red star indicates the location of the IAS.

Walk into the campus and enter the South Junction by the door to the right of the cafe.
Go up the stairs or lift one floor, to the ground floor.
You will see a screen announcing our events, next to the entrance to the South Wing corridor.
Enter the corridor through the double doors on your left.
