In that brief shining moment when Kaunas was the capital of Lithuania, classically trained Jewish musicians, Jewish Jazz bands and singers drew crowds into the elegant hotels, restaurants and bohemian cafes. Using historical photographs, vintage recordings and original paintings, Aimee Birnbaum RI will evoke the flourishing cafe society life of interwar Kaunas between the World Wars.
