Dr Bing Li Wins Impactful Partnership with an SME Award

We are delighted to announce that Dr. Bing Li, Lecturer in Advanced Biosensing Technology at the UCL Institute for Materials Discovery, has won the Impactful Partnership with an SME Award for his collaboration with Graphenea.

This partnership has driven significant advancements in graphene-based biosensors for early dementia diagnosis, addressing a key societal challenge. Combining UCL’s expertise in biosensor development with Graphenea’s leadership in graphene fabrication, the collaboration has led to groundbreaking research and clinical innovations.

Beyond research, the partnership has enriched teaching, with Graphenea hosting UCL staff for enterpreneurship training, delivering guest lectures to over 400 MSc students and facilitating joint workshops and lab visits. Securing collaborative funding has further strengthened ongoing innovation.
