I am a Research Assistant in the Department of Information Studies, and for the Centre for Digital Humanities where I am the Lead Researcher on the QRator project and have previously worked on the JISC funded Linksphere project a joint research project with the University of Reading.
My research focuses on information seeking and user studies of digital technologies in a cultural heritage context. evaluation and user centric design of social media applications, online collections and cross repository searching in order to produce a useful user interface for the VRE. Formerly, I held the position of E-Learning Development Project Manager working on a collaborative project with the Univeristy of Exeter and Geevor Tin Mine Museum. I am Chair of the Digital Learning Network, formerly the E-Learning Group For Museums, Libraries and Archives. I am also a member of the committee for Ignite London.
I am also undertaking doctoral research on information seeking behaviour and end use of online museum content.
My research interests include: usability studies, web 2.0 applications, social media, museum e-learning, digital heritage and digital repositories.
