We're delighted to say that two DIS students have reached the finals of the 2023 Anthony Davis Book Collecting Competition. This is the 4th year in a row that DIS students have reached the final and it’s a significant achievement, as the competition is open to students from any London-based university. Last year DIS student Hannah Swan not only won the competition but then went on to win the national student collecting competition.
The 2023 finalists will be presenting their collections to the public in the UCL Rare-Books Club series on Wednesday lunchtimes:
Wednesday 5 July, 12.30-2pm (drop-in), UCL - Vicky Gray: Prized Possessions: a collection of 19th- and 20th-century school prize books
Wednesday 16 August, 12.30-2pm (drop-in) or online, UCL - Tessa Roynon: The formations of Toni Morrison, 1955-1980
