Olga Loboda

I am a second-year PhD candidate at the UCL Centre for Digital Humanities, Department of Information Studies. As a part of my PhD project, I am developing a high-fidelity recommender system prototype to look into the transformations of visitor experience and the ways to adapt recommender systems to a physical museum setting. My study draws knowledge from the fields of Human-Computer Interaction, Experimental Psychology, Museum Studies and Computer Science.

My main research interests are in the areas of recommender systems, adaptive multimedia guides, HCI, UX/UI, Web and mobile app development for cultural heritage.

In September, 2018, I attended the Mobile Human-Computer Interaction conference in Barcelona where I presented a paper “Towards Evaluating the Impact of Recommender Systems on Visitor Experience in Physical Museums” (Mobile Cultural Heritage workshop).

On December, 14th, 2018, I successfully completed my upgrade from MPhil to PhD status.

I also work as a teaching assistant for the following modules: INST003: Information Systems, INST001: Database Systems and INST0032: XML.
