FARMER/NAET CONFERENCE, 5-6 JULY 2010

"Questions of trust? Archives, records and identities"

In July 2010 ICARUS and the Department of Information Studies supported the Forum for Archives and Records Management Education and Research for the UK and Ireland (FARMER) and the Network of Archival Educators and Trainers (North Western Europe) (NAET) conference held at Wolfson College, Oxford, 5-6 July 2010.

Conference themes:

The conference will seek to examine questions relating to trust and identities in relation to archives and records in (mainly) digital environments and the implications of such questions for those interested in professional archives and records management education, research and practice. The conference seeks to bring together an international group of those active in archives and records management education and research, as well as interested practitioners. The conference sets out to be actively transdisciplinary and encourages contributions from related disciplines including library and information science, museology, cultural heritage, history, anthropology, public policy and governance, business management, information systems development and design, etc.
