My research interests include ageing, the social determinants of health and life course epidemiology. I am also interested in the visualisation of data, and how visualisation tools can be used communicate research findings, making them easier to understand.
As part of my role with DIS I work with the assisting researchers who are using the Office for National Statistics Longitudinal Study (LS) in their research. The LS is a linked sample of about 1% of the population of England and Wales, containing census records from the censuses of 1971, 1981, 1991, 2001 and 2011, plus vital events records (births, deaths and cancer registrations) and other data.
