Professor Mala Maini receives Wellcome Trust Investigator Award in Science

Professor Mala Maini recently received a second Wellcome Trust Investigator Award in Science.

Professor Mala Maini was recently awarded a Wellcome Trust Investigator Award in Science to study the immunopathogenesis and immunotherapy of viral hepatitis.

The funding will allow her team to define key molecular mechanisms to harness tissue-resident CD8 T cells and manipulate hepatic immunity in order to develop novel immunotherapeutic approaches to treat chronic HBV infection.
