Summary of the Speaker’s work:

I use a combination of theoretical and experimental technique to study human immunity. I am particularly interested in the CD8+ T cell response to persistent virus infections and how changes in the dynamics of our T cell response can affect clinical outcome. Current research interests include understanding the role of T stem cells in establishing and maintaining immune memory, investigating “unconventional” gamma delta T cells in humans and studying how immune receptors called KIRs determine the quality of our T cell response.

One-on-one meetings with the speaker can be organised via host/Jennifer Cowan.

PhD students and post-docs are encouraged to attend the lunch with the speaker following the seminar, please email Jennifer (jennifer.cowan@ucl.ac.uk) if you would like to attend.
