Our next IIT external seminar titled 'Gut Microbiome: a new Frontier in Personalised Medicine', will be held on the 27th of October 2022. This event will be held in person as well as online via Teams.
Speaking for this event will be Dr Mona Bajaj-Elliott, Associate Professor from the Great Ormond Street Institute of Child Health, UCL.
Mona's research focuses on understanding the interactions between the resident microbiome, mucosal immunity, and external triggers (infection/allergens) that shape gastrointestinal health versus disease. She is currently serving as chair for the British Society of Gastroenterology 'Gut Microbiota for Health' expert panel.
