Dr Anne Pesenacker

Dr David Bending (Institute of Immunology and Immunotherapy, University of Birmingham) will be speaking at the UCL Institute of Immunity and Transplantation Seminar Series on Thursday 15 October. The seminar will be held virtually over Microsoft Teams.

All are welcome to attend. Please contact Fran Jackson (f.jackson@ucl.ac.uk) if you would like to join the seminar, or meet the speaker.

About the speaker

Dr David Bending is a group leader within the Institute of Immunology and Immunotherapy. The lab’s research is focused on understanding the cellular and molecular mechanisms that control T-cell differentiation, function and regulation. The lab employs the state of the art Tocky system to understand how different patterns of T-cell receptor (TCR) signalling regulate the differentiation and function of T-cells, with a particular focus on IL-10 producing T cells, the re-direction of Th17 cells into the Th1 lineage and how immunotherapies (eg anti-OX-40) can be utilised to modulate T cell function and overall immune response.
