Dr Anneliese Speak of the Wellcome Sanger Institute will be speaking at the UCL Institute of Immunity and Transplantation Seminar Series on Thursday 30 May. The seminar will be held in Lecture Theatre 3 at the UCL Medical School Royal Free Campus.

Dr Speak is interested in how alterations in genes cause developmental and functional abnormalities in the immune system, particulalrly immunity to cancers. She currently leads two projects investigating the interaction between immune cells and tumours using large scale knockout mouse screens. One has a focus on Natural Killer cells and their receptors and the other how the tumour microenvironment can affect T cells using CRISPR-based genetic screens.

All are welcome to attend. If you would like to meet the speaker after the seminar please contact Anne Peseknacker (a.pesenacker@ucl.ac.uk).
