The UCL Institute of Immunity and Transplantation (IIT) is hosting its third annual open day on Tuesday 25 June 2019.

IIT open day scientists will be showcasing the ground-breaking treatments they are developing for conditions including leukaemia, lung cancer and haemophilia, and how they are building new organs from stem cells. IIT researchers are world-leaders in their fields and are working on gene therapy treatments for a range of illnesses.

The open day is aimed at GCSE and A level students who will have the opportunity to learn about how to pursue a career in medical research. They will have the opportunity to meet doctors and researchers and can hear about clinical trials at the hospital. Patients and members of the public are also welcome to attend.
