Dr Paola Di Meglio of St John's Institute of Dermatology at King's College London will be speaking at the UCL Institute of Immunity and Transplantation Seminar Series on Thursday 13 December. The seminar will be held in Tutorial Room 14 at the UCL Medical School Royal Free Campus.
Dr Di Meglio’s research is on the pathogenesis of complex inflammatory skin conditions, with a particular focus on the interplay between genetic, environmental and immune factors. She also has an interest in pharmacogenomics and biomarkers discovery. She identified and functionally characterized the IL23R R381Q gene variant conferring protection to psoriasis and other inflammatory diseases and her more recent work has uncovered the beneficial role of the transcription factor and environmental sensor AhR in skin inflammation.
All are welcome to attend. If you would like to meet the speaker after the seminar please contact the host.
